Meow Block – Play the Cat Rectangle Puzzle Online
Play Meow Block online by dividing the grid into right-size cat rectangles. Each block must contain exactly one numbered clue, and its area must equal that number. Fill every cell without overlap to complete the level.
What Is Meow Block?
Meow Block is a cat-themed rectangle logic game inspired by the rules of Shikaku. Instead of moving loose pieces, you discover each piece by drawing a rectangle directly on the board. The number inside a cat clue tells you the rectangle's required area. For example, a 6 clue may fit inside a 1×6 or 2×3 rectangle, depending on the nearby clues and the remaining space.
How to Play Meow Block
- Step 1: Choose a numbered cat clue and press any cell that should be one corner of its rectangle.
- Step 2: Keep holding while you drag to the opposite corner. The highlighted preview shows the full block.
- Step 3: Release when the rectangle contains exactly one clue and its number equals the rectangle's cell count.
- Step 4: Repeat without overlapping blocks until every cell in the Meow Block grid is filled.

One clue per block
A rectangle cannot be empty and cannot enclose two numbered cats.
Area matches the number
Multiply the rectangle's width by its height to match the clue.
Fill the entire grid
Every cell belongs to one block, and completed blocks never overlap.
Meow Block Controls
On a mouse, press the left button, drag, and release. On a phone or tablet, touch and hold, slide to the opposite corner, and lift your finger. Use Undo to remove the latest block, Hint to place one correct block, Restart to clear the level, or press F for fullscreen.
Meow Block Strategy Tips
- Start with large clues near an edge or corner. They usually have fewer possible rectangle shapes and directions.
- Check the factors of each number. A clue of 8 can form 1×8, 2×4, 4×2, or 8×1, but the board boundaries quickly remove impossible choices.
- Watch narrow leftover spaces. If a proposed block strands cells that no clue can reach, undo it and try another rectangle orientation.
